The Cheyenne River Youth Project never passes up a chance to throw a great party, which is why we have two or three each month of the year to celebrate birthdays, holidays, graduations, special occasions and sometimes even just to celebrate our kids.

CRYP holds regular birthday parties each month for the children, complete with games, delicious birthday cakes and presents.  Each and every one of our children is made to feel special at his or her party , while getting to enjoy the 11 other parties to come! 

ICRYP also celebrates Halloween, Thanksgiving,  Christmas, Easter and the Fourth of July.  Our Halloween Bash is a combination of food, fun and festivity; a time when our kids can call on their creativity for the costume contest, sample tasty treats, and play ghoulish games like the Spider Web Crawl. The "Thanks for Kids" Thanksgiving dinner is a community event where CRYP gets the chance to show parents and relatives how much they appreciate the opportunity to serve their children- while sharing in a delicious turkey dinner with all the trappings.  CRYP has to close for two weeks each December because of the Christmas Toy Drive, so the annual Christmas party is our way of telling the kids how much we'll miss them, and of course, to share another great meal!  annual Easter Egg Hunt is an event for the whole family to enjoy the newly arrived spring. Children search the entire grounds hoping to find the prize eggs that volunteers have carefully hidden the night before.  Participants are rewarded with a warm drink and snacks in the youth center once all of the eggs (or most of them!) have been found.  Finally, CRYP hosts an annual Fourth of July picnic in the garden for all of our children and their families.  The garden is in full bloom during this time of year and CRYP takes every opportunity to get more kids involved in the process.
