Betsy Mitchell – President

(Cheyenne River Lakota) Lifelong resident of the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation; Holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with a minor in Lakota Studies; Fourth grade teacher for the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Upper Elementary School for 17 years; Junior High School Boys and Girls Basketball Coach; Member of the Chey-more Reading Council; Member of the Cheyenne River Youth Project Board of Directors for 10 years. 

 

Peggy Gallipo – Vice-President

(Cheyenne River Lakota) Lifelong resident of the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation; Holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology; Speech Language Pathology for Bureau of Indian Affairs for 17 years; Member of Parent Connection for 3 years; Member of the State of South Dakota Task Force to Establish Benchmarks for Early Childhood; Co-authored research on Culturally Relevant Language Assessments; Member of the Cheyenne River Youth Project Board of Directors for 10 years. 

 

Stewart Sarkozy-Banoczy – Director

Director of Training and Technical Assistance for First Nations OWEESTA Corp; Holds a bachelor of Arts in International Business and German and an MBA in International Management; Member of Ehanni, Inc. Board of Directors; Former board member of Oti Kaga, Inc. and Sioux YMCA; Volunteer coach for Special Olympics; Spent two riveting seasons starring as “The Main’s” Grinch at the annual Christmas party; Member of the Cheyenne River Youth Project Board of Directors.

 

Guthrie Ducheneaux – Director

(Cheyenne River Lakota) Lifelong resident of the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation; Information Technology Manager for the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Schools for 5 years; Founder and owner of Ducheneaux Computer Systems; Member of Ehanni, Inc. Board of Directors; President of the Board of Directors for Oceti Sakowin Education Consortium for 5 years; Member of the Cheyenne River Youth Project Board of Directors for 1 year.
