Youth Programs Director

Full-Time Position ~ Salaried w/ Benefits

Responsibilities include youth and community outreach, Program development and implementation at both centers, management of grants and statistical information, management of CRYP organizational and volunteer partnerships, local fundraising, assistance with grant research and proposals, work with PR manager on print newsletter, e-blasts and releases, recruitment, orientation, training, evaluation, scheduling and general management of volunteer staff, organization of volunteer training and development, and other duties as specified by the Executive Director.

Applicants for this position should be at least 21 years of age, have a Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience, 1-2 years non-profit or related experience, strong MS Office proficiency, and previous experience with at-risk youth and adolescents.

Power of Four Project Mentor

Part-Time Position ~ 32 hours per week

The Cheyenne River Youth Project® (The Main) is seeking a “Project Mentor” for a Brand New Program as part of a joint initiative with Tribal Ventures. This program will recruit high school students from around the Cheyenne River Reservation to participate in Youth Advisory Council. The council will be involved in the governance of the Cheyenne River Youth Project® as an organization, as well as in helping to create effective programs for teens at the new Ċokata Wiċoni Teen Center. A Project Mentor is needed to help recruit and guide this Youth Advisory Council as they fulfill their new role in the community. The position is part-time (32 hours per week) and requires experience with youth.

Native Aspirations Project Manager

Part-Time Position ~ 32-34 hours per week

This position will manage the Native Aspirations Project for the Cheyenne River Youth Project®, the local partner organization. In collaboration with an Oversight Panel, the Native Aspirations Project Manager provides leadership in the development and implementation of the Community’s Prevention Plan (or enhancement of an existing plan if one already exists). Specifically, he or she coordinates Native Aspirations meetings, events, technical assistance opportunities, and plays a key role developing partnerships among community programs as they work cooperatively to address youth violence, bullying and suicide.
