"It's about that time...." After 20 years, CRYP has decided that it is time to celebrate our achievements and to thank the people who make our work possible - our volunteers and supporters. CRYP has grown and developed as a result of so many people's hard work and energy, and we hope to celebrate with all of you this August 28th - September 1st at the Cheyenne River Youth Project! On the agenda are a variety of activities to inform and enjoy, including our Volunteer Reunion, the Dedication of our new History Wall Exhibit and of course, our 20th Anniversary Celebration! There will also be many opportunities to see old friends and get to know new people at our informal BBQ and Reception. In addition, we plan to host a Teen Dance on the night of the 30th for our youth participants, so that you can all be sure to meet some of the children (now young adults) whose lives you have greatly impacted. We are also coordinating our plans with the annual Eagle Butte Fair and Powwow, so that you all can experience Cheyenne River in bloom and bustling with activities and great food! For many of you, the Teen Center is just an idea - we hope that you will now get to see it in action. Our garden, too, will be teeming with healthy foods for our kids, which you are also free to sample! Check out our "Facebook" Profile for more details and news! We know it's not easy to get to Cheyenne River, so we've decided to combine two things that are important to all of us, Volunteer Recruitment and getting people out for the reunion! We have created a flyer that can help you recruit volunteers for us - please post it in your universities or anywhere else you can think of! Alex will make sure she finds out where a volunteer saw a flyer so we can keep track. The past volunteer with the most new volunteer recruits will win a free plane ticket out to Eagle Butte! The deadline is June, so that we have enough time to purchase a ticket in the case of an international volunteer winning! Click here for a copy of our flyer!
