Passion for Fashion ’09 less than a month away

We’re working hard on preparations for one of our longest-running teen programs: Passion for Fashion.

This annual event, created in 2001, provides support for teens who may not have the financial means to purchase prom essentials such as formal wear, jewelry and makeup; it also promotes intergenerational exchange, bonding and positive self-esteem and body image.

This year’s Passion for Fashion will take place at CRYP’s Cokata Wiconi Teen Center from 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. All high-school girls on the Cheyenne River reservation will receive personalized invitations; however, Cheyenne River’s junior-high girls are welcome to attend as well.

Even more exciting, Cokata Wiconi now has volleyball for area teenagers.
